How retailer reviews work

Reviews describe users’ experience with a retailer. They are not product reviews and are not verified purchases.

Who may leave a review

A signed-in user with a verified email address may leave one review for each retailer. A purchase is not verified or required.

  • The author may edit an active review. Every edit is checked again and kept in an internal revision history. If the author deletes only the review, it is hidden and its revision history is retained. If the author erases the whole account, the current account-erasure flow removes the review, its revisions and linked reports, and recalculates the retailer rating.
  • A review concerns the retailer, not an individual product.

Moderation and reports

Automated checks and manual moderation may restrict content that breaks the rules. Reports are tied to the exact revision that was visible when the report was submitted.

  • A review can be hidden while it is examined.
  • Moderation does not turn a review into a verified purchase.

Rating and ordering

Only active, published reviews contribute to the retailer’s aggregate rating. Reviews can be ordered by newest, oldest, highest rating or lowest rating; no trust weighting is used.

  • Hidden or removed content is not presented as a visible review.
  • The aggregate describes retailer reviews, not product quality.
