Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how CenuFiltrs handles information when people use the price comparison platform, contact support, create alerts, or interact with merchant-facing tools.
We keep the service focused on comparing offers, tracking prices, and helping users make informed purchasing decisions. Information is used for those product purposes and for platform security.
Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to operate the service, answer requests, and improve price comparison quality.
- Account details such as name, email address, authentication status, and language preference.
- Support request details submitted through contact forms, including message content and optional phone number.
- Shopping activity such as searches, saved products, price alerts, recently viewed items, and click-through events.
- Technical data such as device type, browser, approximate region, logs, and security events.
Google Sign-In data
If you choose Continue with Google, Google authenticates you and returns a limited identity profile to CenuFiltrs. We use it only to create, sign in to, or link your CenuFiltrs account and to display the profile information you choose to share.
- We receive your stable Google account identifier (sub), email address, email verification status, given name, family name, display name, and profile image when available.
- We store the Google account identifier and minimal profile metadata in the CenuFiltrs user and social identity records so later sign-ins resolve the same account.
- Google access tokens, refresh tokens, and ID tokens are used during authentication and are not stored in the CenuFiltrs database.
- We do not use Google Sign-In data for advertising, sell it, or request access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts, or other Google services.
Browser extension
The CenuFiltrs browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox is a sidebar for searching and comparing prices. It has no content script: it never reads, modifies or injects anything into the pages you visit, and it holds no permission to access websites other than cenufiltrs.lv and our API.
Data handling matches the website, because the extension talks to the same API. This section describes what is additionally stored on your own device.
- Stored locally in the extension's own storage: your session tokens, the interface language and appearance preferences, and a randomly generated device identifier used to deduplicate clicks. Signing out removes the tokens.
- The cookies permission is used for one purpose only: reading the CenuFiltrs session cookie on cenufiltrs.lv, so that if you are already signed in on the website you do not have to enter your password again in the sidebar. No cookie of any other site is read.
- Sent to our API: your search queries, the offers displayed to you, and the offer you click. These are processed exactly as they are for the website.
- Not collected: your browsing history, the addresses of pages you visit, page content, form data, or anything from other browser tabs.
- Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored on your device. Data already associated with your CenuFiltrs account is governed by the retention and rights sections above.
MCP server and AI connectors
CenuFiltrs runs a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at mcp.cenufiltrs.lv. It lets an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT search offers, read price history and, once you sign in, work with your wishlist, price alerts and search history on your behalf. Connecting is entirely your choice, and you can disconnect the connector in your assistant at any time.
The connector reaches the same API as the website, so what is collected and why matches the sections above. This section describes what is specific to using CenuFiltrs through an AI assistant.
Because your assistant is operated by another company, anything CenuFiltrs returns to it — and anything you type into it — is also processed by that company under its own privacy policy, not ours. We have no access to your conversation with the assistant and no control over how it stores it.
- Sent from your assistant to us: the search query and filters chosen by the assistant, and — when you have signed in — the requests it makes on your behalf to your wishlist, price alerts, comments and search history. Anonymous use is possible: search, prices, categories, stores and reviews need no account.
- Returned to your assistant: offers, prices, price history, categories, stores and public reviews, plus links to the retailer. Your assistant, and therefore its operator, sees everything we return.
- Never sent to your assistant: your password, your payment details or another user's personal data. Signing in happens on cenufiltrs.lv, not inside the assistant, so your credentials are never passed through it.
- Stored by us for the connection itself: the assistant's client registration and the tokens that keep the session alive. Sign-in codes expire after 5 minutes, an access token after 1 hour, and a connection ends after 30 days at the latest, after which the assistant must ask you to sign in again. Rendered result cards are cached for 15 minutes.
- Retailer links opened from the assistant carry a channel marker (ch=mcp) and technical identifiers used for click counting and billing, exactly as described in the sharing section above.
- How we earn: retailers pay us for clicks their offers receive, and some placements are paid campaigns, which carry an Advertisement label. You pay nothing, and the price at the retailer is the same whether or not you arrived through the connector. See section 6 of our Terms of Service.
- Not collected: your conversation with the assistant, its system prompts, or any data outside the specific request you asked it to make.
